January Newsletter

  • January 17, 2018

You are receiving this email because you have subscribed to author P.F. Ford's monthly newsletter.

Hello from a surprisingly sunny West Wales!

First of all, I must apologise for being a couple of days late with this month's news. Unfortunately, fate still seems to want to slow us down, and on Monday Mary had a fall and managed to sprain her ankle and fracture her leg. Of course, her welfare comes before writing so this is by way of an apology more than a newsletter!

I would like to thank you for the very supportive messages I received after the last newsletter. To be honest, I decided to take a break from just about everything for three weeks over Christmas and the New Year so if you sent me a message and I didn't reply I must apologise for my bad manners, but I hope you will understand.

Slater and Norman 12

You will be pleased to hear I've started the first draft of the next Slater and Norman story. Starting with a clear head this time I think this will prove to be one of the best stories yet and for those who missed Dave in the latest book, you will be pleased to know he's back on form in the next one.

I was aiming to release the book around the end of April, but that's probably going to be put back by a week or two now as we work out a routine for Mary's care.

Death Of A Temptress the audiobook

I'm sure you all know my first audiobook is now available on Audible, iTunes, Amazon and several smaller audiobook stores. Audible very kindly supplied me with some promotion codes (you can get the book for free), and if anyone would like one of these codes, please reply to this email and I will send one. Unfortunately I don't have many, so it's very much a case of first come, first served.

Next Month

I have mentioned doing a reader survey, and that will be included next month. It will be a voluntary survey which you can reach by clicking a link from the newsletter. The more readers who take part, the better, but if you don't want to take part you don't have to!

I also mentioned the possibility of offering an occasional short story – the first one may well be ready next month. It will be a free download exclusive to subscribers of this newsletter.
I'm sure we will settle into a routine over the next few days, and things will be back to something close to normal, then I can get back to writing in earnest.

As always, thank you for taking the time to read this (rather hastily prepared) newsletter, and thank you for your continued support.

Best wishes,

Pete
